Summary
The Birmingham church bombing occurred on Sept 15, 1963. The bombing went off before the Sunday morning services at the 16th Street Baptist Church. The church was predominantly black, it was also used as a meeting place for civil rights leaders. There were four young girls that were killed and many other people were injured. People were outraged because of the incident and violence broke out, between the police and protesters.
